All raw materials used are SKAL or Ecocerts certified and we guarantee that our cotton is 100% biological from the cultivation phase to the finished fabric.
Why is organically grown cotton so important?
In normal industrial cultivation, cotton is both the most polluting and contaminated fiber used for textile. About 10 to 20% of the world's total production of pesticides, insecticides and chemical dyes is used for the cultivation and manufacture of cotton. A traditional cotton plantation is a real industrial burial ground.
High doses of synthetic growth stimulators, an arsenal of chemical herbicides and insecticides lead to high doses of poisoning not only of the ground and groundwater, but also of the fiber itself. In addition, the farmer, the cotton picker, the pilots of the spraying planes, the workers who collect, spin and transform the cotton are all subject to severe poisoning.
In other words, natural cotton is a real bane for men and nature!
Organically grown cotton is grown on living soil that for the past 3 years has been free of all toxic chemical growth stimulants, pesticides and herbicides.
